Many Florida residents enjoy the freedom they feel when riding on motorcycles. The freedom and pleasure of riding on motorcycles is tempered, however, by the great risks motorcyclists face from drivers of other vehicles. Unfortunately, thousands are killed every year in accidents that are primarily caused by the negligence of other motorists.
Every year on Florida's highways, people are seriously injured or killed in accidents involving large trucks. Even though many regulations exist to govern the industry, fatalities and injuries continue to take place.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol were on the scene of a fatal accident that involved four vehicles and claimed three lives in Rockledge. Four more individuals were seriously injured in the wreck that occurred on Jan. 4 at about 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 95 close to the exit ramp for South Fiske Boulevard.
