Investigators believe driver was high when accident happened

Florida residents may remember the horrific accident that occurred in Oklahoma on Sept. 27, 2014. In the accident, a large truck crashed into a bus carrying a women's athletic team back to Texas to their college. Four women were killed in the accident, and the truck driver was charged with four manslaughter counts as a result.

Daughter of late rapper MC Supreme files wrongful death suit

Florida music fans may be interested to learn that the daughter of late rapper MC Supreme has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver who struck and killed him. The 47-year-old, who was best known for the hit "Black in America," died on June 15 in Malibu, California.

Family of deceased man sues "ZombiCon" for $5 million

On Nov. 3, the family of a man who was shot at a Florida event known as "ZombiCon" reportedly filed a $5 million wrongful death claim against the group that organized the event and an associated security company. The lawsuit claimed that the security was not adequate to handle the 20,000 attendees at the event.
