Expungement of Prior Records

Expungement of Prior Record Attorneys in Gainesville, Florida

Expungement of Prior Records

Past criminal charges do not have to stay on your record forever. In fact, many charges are eligible to be expunged after a relatively short amount of time. If you have a criminal history and are applying for jobs or are making other changes in your life, you should speak with an attorney about having your past record expunged.

Expungement in the State of Florida has specific rules and certain charges may never be able to be fully purged from the public record. However, if you tell us about your specific charges and circumstances, we are confident that The Chestnut Firm can help. Do not let the mistakes of your past determine the rest of your future if you can do something to stop it. Contact our Gainesville, Florida law offices and let us tell you whether your past records are eligible to be expunged and, if so, how we can help to accomplish just that.

Announcements

Tobacco Settlement Checks are in the mail to our clients. The Engle Trust Fund has released $216 million of the $600 million in partial satisfaction of Tobacco Claims that were validly filed. We have issued payments to all of our clients who were awarded disbursements. Please call us at 888-91-SMOKE should you have any questions regarding payments, probate, or final closing statements.

We anticipate the Engle Trust Fund releasing the remaining $386 million by month’s end. If that deadline is met by Engle Trust Fund we will have checks to our clients prior to the Christmas Holidays. However, we cannot issue final payment until we receive the final disbursement. We are honored to serve you and welcome the opportunity to represent you in any future claims that may arise.
